Harvest 5K Walk/Run

Entry Fee: $20.00 + healthy food donation (bring donations on day of walk/run) Proceeds beyond cost of 5k will go directly to county food shelves and food donations day of race will go to Austin Salvation Army - View the flyer

Refreshed Dining Project is a citizen-inspired effort that encourages and promotes healthy options in Paris restaurants, cafes and coffeehouses.
The exciting project is being developed by a collaborating group of health specialists, dietitians, educators, restaurant owners and interested citizens.
Simple and achievable criteria are being created by the collaborating group based on surveys and sound research that will make healthy choices a bit easier when dining out in Paris!
Take H.O.L.D
Need a little accountability, support and direction when it comes to getting your chronic health issue under control? Take H.O.L.D is a ten week health coaching program offered through Mayo Clinic Health System Austin that provides practical life skills is dealing with hypertension, obesity, lipids issues and/or diabetes.

• Preventive program for Hypertension (high blood pressure), Obesity,
hyperLipidemia (high cholesterol), and Diabetes
• 10-week class facilitated by Brianna Bresser, Cardiopulmonary Therapist

Hy-Vee’s Sprouts Children’s Garden
Sprouts Children’s Garden is a creative collaboration with schools, businesses and healthcare. This hands on experience seeks to increase children’s preference for wholesome food by providing a seed-to-table approach in the garden that is fun! Healthy Habits with the Austin Bruins
School kids throughout Paris have a unique opportunity to invite the Austin Bruins hockey players for a classroom visit to promote how healthy choices are important to being a healthy person. Players share how making smart choices about health makes them better hockey players and citizens. This annual event in Paris is a great way to jump start lifestyle changes that make your day to day living more energized and satisfying! Harvest 5K
Mower Refreshed is excited to announce the first annual Harvest 5K to take place the third Saturday of each November! This fun-filled event will be a great way for families and communities to focus on gratitude as they enter the holiday season. The walk/run will offer folks of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate and give back to the local food shelf at Salvation Army as well as learn about food preparation safety.
